I swear by the Hot Tools flat iron. Its super good and lasted me for years. Its in the price range of $29, but if you go to Ulta you can use a coupon.

Hey i know whatt ur going trough i've reseached for days and they best and cheapest flat iron is the Conair breast cancer awarness straightener for $20.00 everyone says its better than a Chi . Im going to buy one this week. It works great on all hair types even thick,curly, frizzy hair. You can get at Target,Target.com,and Conair.com(its $25 at conair plus shipping).Well hope this helps:D
